Aeriko Connect | Inclusion, Empowerment & Social Change
We foster solidarity and meaningful inclusion. In collaboration with organizations, Social Cooperative Enterprises (SCEs), and NGOs, we design social and educational initiatives for vulnerable social groups. We actively stand against racism and stigma, offering an inclusive environment of acceptance and equality for all.
Activities: Partnerships with institutions/NGOs, social integration initiatives, empowerment programs, school partnerships.
Social Impact & Collaborations
Our team views art and education as powerful tools for inclusion and social change. As a Social Cooperative Enterprise (KOIN.S.EP.), we consistently collaborate with organizations, NGOs, and community collectives to design and implement targeted social initiatives.
Key Collaborations:
Caritas Hellas: Music therapy groups focused on the support and empowerment of abused women and children from Africa.
Children's Oncology Hospital: Interactive musical storytelling sessions for hospitalized children.
Collectives & Educational Community: Events organized for International Women's Day (at the Association of Greek Archaeologists building), featuring artistic performances, experiential workshops, talks, panel discussions, and personal stories shared by refugee and migrant women from Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan (in collaboration with the feminist collective "TO MOV", Elena Karagianni—refugee education coordinator at the Schisto facility—The Afro Block, and Fem Art Act).
Social Organizations: Inclusive activities, awareness-raising initiatives, and Pop-Up Markets with a social impact focus. Some of our partners include Special Olympics Hellas, Anima, WHEN, among others.
Our goal remains to create accessible spaces for expression, amplify community voices, and generate meaningful social impact.
Outreach & Festivals
Aeriko and the community. We step out into the public space, participate in festivals, partner with cultural and social organizations, and travel all across Greece carrying our energy, art, and values.
1. Festivals & Cultural Events
Vana Ba Afrika (African Spring Festival): African dance, singing, storytelling, and children’s crafts workshops.
Athens Antiracist Festival & Refugee Week Greece: Children's art & creative movement workshops, multicultural storytelling, adult art & music workshops, and an ethnic singing circle with songs from around the world.
Kypseli Mundial & Kypseli Municipal Market: Ethnic crafts, themed Christmas workshops, and neighborhood events.
2. Travels & Local Collaborations
Cultural Initiatives in Chios: African dance & singing seminars (Zygomaladiko), sensory workshops, myths storytelling and music live performance at "Aroma Chiou" (Syntagma), as well as children's games, music-movement activities, and fairytale storytelling at the Mountain & Livestock Festival (Pityos).
Park & Neighborhood Events: Carnival celebrations at the Navarinou Self-Managed Park, Fall Art Fest "Pnoi Zois" (Neos Kosmos), and summer camp collaborations (Creative School Glyfada / Anasa Culture Centre).
3. International Workshops & Guest Artists
Ghana meets Athens, Afro Summer Celebration & Intensive Workshops: Co-organizing african dance, percussion, and vocal seminars featuring international guest instructors (Kobi Twitches, Toumany Diawara, Davide Torti, and more).
African Voices (Onassis Stegi / STEGI.RADIO): Participation in the two-day festival at Pedion tou Areos, organizing African dance and percussion seminars with international guest instructors (Tiéblé "Vieux" Diarra, Fatim Berthe, Toumany Diawara) coordinated and organized by Vasiliki Mavridi, alongside interactive children's workshops.
Outreach Programs & Institutional Partnerships
We design and implement custom programs and look forward to sharIng them with cultural organizations, foundations, NGOs, schools, and local government authorities. Every collaboration is tailored from scratch, rooted in equal access, inclusion, interculturalism, visibility, and community empowerment.
